Welcome to the Cobb Vineyard Food Pantry!

Please complete this online registration while you wait to speed up the sign in process. You will need to remain in line and show the barcode card on your phone screen. Save a picture of the card on your phone.

Here’s some information about what you can expect today. Sign-in begins at 9 am and ends at 1:00 pm. There is generally a long line at 9:00. Food distribution begins at 11:00 am. Please expect to wait. We are currently serving around 200 families at each distribution. You will need to sign in each time you come for food. First, you will sign in on a paper list with your name and phone number. This number will tell you how many people are in front of you. You will also receive a ticket. Please keep track of the ticket. You will need it when you pick up food. We would hate for you to lose your place in line because you can’t find your ticket.

Once you have your ticket, you will need to check in on the computer system. If this is your first visit, you will need to register. You can begin the registration process now on your phone and complete it inside to save time. We will ask for information about your household members and how to contact you. We will also scan the barcode on your identification. The barcode will be used when you pick up food. If you come back on a different distribution date, ask if we have a food pantry scan card ready for you. You will keep this card and use it when you check in and when you pick up food. This speeds up the process.

Each time you come, you will present your scan card or identification and sign that you meet the income requirements to receive food. You will sign electronically using a touch screen. Based on your number in line, you will be given a time to return for food pick up. This time is an estimate of when we will reach your ticket number. When you return, you will need to park in the parking lot to the left of the church. Do not get in line until your ticket number is called. Numbers are called in blocks of 10-15. The numbers are called out using a megaphone and are posted on a whiteboard. Please do not ask the helpers who are scanning cards what number they are on or when your number will be called. This slows down the process. Be sure to return before 1:00.

After your number is called, you will need to enter the car line. When it is your turn, you will need to have your scan card or identification and ticket ready. Your card will be scanned, then you will drive to the loading area. Volunteers will load the food into your car. Cobb Vineyard Church purchases food from the Atlanta Community Foodbank. We distribute the food on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Our food pantry is entirely staffed by volunteers. Please be kind to the people helping you and to the other people waiting for food.
